Sisterhood in the City.
Even if you’re active in your NPC sorority alumnae association, there are so many meaningful ways to maximize your NYC Panhellenic experience. Meet members of other sororities, join in their causes and connect with women who share your ideals!
Connection. Sisterhood. Women Working Together.
The New York City Alumnae Panhellenic (NYCAP) is women working together – providing philanthropic, educational and social opportunities for area alumnae of the 26 National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) member fraternities.
NYCAP — an affiliate of NPC — also strives to advance the “Panhellenic Spirit” of sisterhood among member organizations by encouraging a strong sense of collaboration and connections. The association also supports and assists collegiate chapters of member organizations.
NYCAP thanks the following sponsors for the support and relationship with our alumnae organization: SideBar, Vintage Irving, and Ezra Hug Designs. If you are interested in sponsoring New York City Alumnae Panhellenic, please contact nycapsecretary@gmail.com.
Our History
Today’s Beekman Tower Hotel started out as a genteel residence and safe haven for single NPC fraternity women coming to the Big Apple.
In 1922, the Panhellenic House Association, Inc. was organized in New York City with a Board of Directors comprised of representatives of the 20 participating women’s fraternities. Its goal was to obtain affordable, gracious accommodations for the single fraternity women of New York City. Construction of the Panhellenic House began on October 10, 1927, and it opened its doors one year later. The Panhellenic House is now known as the Beekman Tower Hotel, located in midtown Manhattan.
